As a tenant, expect to receive emails from Hemlane when you need to pay rent online. The system will also send reminders closer to the due date. Your dashboard should also provide notifications on upcoming and late payments to make the process smoother for you.
If you do not receive an email and the Payments tab (left hand panel) has no transactions, then your management has not set up online payments.
Here is the step-by-step process to pay your rent and other management fees online:
Step 1: Set up your bank account
A bank account (or credit card if management accepts credit) is required in order to pay. To view more details on setting up the bank account, you can watch our video "Getting Started: Set up your bank account."

Step 2: Pay rent
The Payments tab (on the left hand panel) will provide you with a list of transactions. If the DUE amount is not $0, then there is an outstanding balance due for your lease group (you or you and your roommates). If the payment is not past due, you will be able to select a "Charge Later" date in the future.
You can select the transaction by clicking into it and pay rent via 3 steps:
Step 1: Click [Make Payment] in the upper right corner
Step 2: Confirm the funding account and amount that will be paid
Step 3: Click [Confirm] to start processing your payment
