Purchase of New Appliances
In the case of the purchase and installation of new appliances, these tend to include a high dollar value with more personal preferences (e.g. quality of the machine).
Hemlane will ask for the landlord/manager to purchase the appliance. Hemlane's repair coordinators help schedule the delivery and installation, but will not purchase the appliance. You can purchase the appliance through a local provider or one of the following national providers:
Hemlane can make the payment to the service professional who may be onsite for delivery and invoice the landlord/manager, but the transaction fee makes it more expensive than a direct purchase.
Important Delivery Questions
Ask these questions before you purchase the appliance. The appliance may become more expensive if the answer is "no" to any of these questions:
- Do you haul away the old appliance?
- Will the appliance delivery be free?
- Do you install the appliance?
- Are there any additional parts that are required for the appliance?
- If the appliance is not on the ground level: Will you haul up or down the stairs?
Based on the appliance, the answers to the above may be no. If so, then you will need to discuss with the repair coordinator on how to handle the next steps.
