How Tenant Perks Work
Activation by Property Manager: Your property manager must enable Tenant Perks in Hemlane. If you don’t see the option, send them a message requesting activation.
Opt-In via Hemlane: Once activated, log in to your Hemlane dashboard and select “Explore” under Tenant Perks.
Create a Piñata Account: Sign up with Piñata and upload proof of insurance, or choose Piñata’s master policy.
Earn Rewards: Start earning rewards and incentives every time you pay rent on time.
How to Sign Up as a Tenant
Log into Hemlane and go to your Dashboard
Select “Explore” Tenant Perks (tip - if it's not on your dashboard, then it's not enabled by your property manager)
Review Piñata’s offerings and click “Sign Up for Tenant Perks”
Choose from the available Tenant Perks packages
Add or select a payment method
You’ll then receive an activation email from Piñata within 24 hours of your subscription start date.
Billing & Cancellation
Your first payment is prorated based on your lease start date or the date you enroll.
- Pricing may vary based on location or associated property manager.
Payments are then charged on the 1st of each month until canceled.
Tenant Perks automatically cancel when you move out and no lease is active. You may also cancel anytime directly through your Hemlane account.
What’s Included in Piñata’s Master Policy
$100,000 in property damage & legal liability coverage (with a $10,000 sub-limit)
$10,000 in personal contents coverage (with a $500 deductible)
