Purchase of New Appliances
Appliance purchases tend to involve higher dollar amounts and personal preferences around quality and brand. Because of this, Hemlane will ask the landlord or property manager to purchase the appliance directly. Our repair coordinators can help schedule the delivery and installation, but will not purchase the appliance on your behalf.
You can purchase the appliance through a local provider or one of the following national retailers:
Hemlane can process payment to a service professional who is onsite for delivery and invoice the landlord or manager, but please note that the transaction fee makes this more expensive than a direct purchase.
Important Questions to Ask Before You Buy
Ask these questions before purchasing the appliance. If the answer to any of them is no, additional costs may apply:
- Do you haul away the old appliance?
- Will appliance delivery be free?
- Do you install the appliance?
- Are there any additional parts required for installation?
- If the appliance is not on the ground level, will you haul it up or down the stairs?
If the answer to any of the above is no, discuss next steps with your repair coordinator on how to handle the situation.
