How Hemlane Subscriptions Work:
The user who added the property is responsible for the Hemlane subscription and referred to as the "bill-to user". If you are unsure who is charged the Hemlane subscription because you have multiple rentals and users, you can confirm by looking at the properties under the user's name within Your Team tab.
The subscribing user will have the words "bill-to" listed under their permissions for each property.
It is very important to note that other users cannot add units to the property, since it affects the billing.
Hemlane offers flexibility in your subscription, including:
- 3 levels of subscriptions - Basic, Essential, and Complete packages
- 2 payment choices for the subscription service - monthly and annual

How to View your Hemlane Subscription:
You can find details regarding your current subscription and past invoices by navigating to your name in the upper right-hand corner, then clicking into 'Subscriptions'.
Here you will find your current subscription cost breakdown as well as the option to view past invoices, found under the "Invoices" tab at the top.
Package Options:
Hemlane offers 3 packages: Basic, Essential, and Complete.
Our Basic package provides end-to-end leasing software to help you manage, track, and organize your rental properties.
Our Essential package includes everything in the Basic option, state specific leases, and allows you stress-free maintenance coordination for your tenants including handiwork, electrical, plumbing using your own service professionals.
Our Complete package includes everything in Basic and Essential and also includes connecting you to local leasing agents as well as our national network of service professionals for your maintenance needs.

How to Change Your Subscription from Monthly to Annual Billing:
To update the billing cycle for your subscription, please navigate to your name in the upper right-hand corner, then click into "Subscriptions" from the drop-down menu.
To make an update your billing cycle, please click the [Update] button towards the middle of your screen. You'll then be able to choose your upgrade to an annual billing cycle from the drop-down menu on the pop-up form, towards the top:
Payment Options:
All plans are pro-rated to the second. In other words, at the end of every day, we calculate the number of new and deleted (archived) rental units and adjust the credit it your account. Here is an example:
- You pay your monthly invoice on the 1st of every month
- You add a new rental unit on the 15th of the month
- You will only be charged 1/2 a month for that new rental unit added
Monthly Subscription Payments:
- Any added unit will be charged immediately, pro-rated for the remainder of your billing cycle
- Any deleted (archived) unit will provide credit to your Hemlane account (not your bank account) for your next monthly billing invoice.
- If you decide to add another unit and have any credit, we will use the credit toward the new unit.
Annual Subscription Payment
- Any added unit will be charged immediately, pro-rated for the remainder of your billing cycle
- Any deleted (archived) unit will provide credit to your Hemlane account (not your bank account) for your next annual billing invoice.
- If you decide to add another unit and have any credit, we will use the credit toward the new unit.
- We do not provide refunds on annual plans if you reduce the number of units in your portfolio.
How to Change Your Subscription Payment Method:
To update the payment account used for subscription payments, please navigate to your name in the upper right-hand corner, then clicking into "Subscriptions" from the drop-down menu.
To make an update to your payment method, please click the [Update] button towards the middle of your screen. You'll then be able to choose your payment account from the drop-down menu on the pop-up form, towards the bottom:
Subscription Cancellation Policy:
As per our legal terms, section 2.6, the period of time which you paid for a subscription (annual for a year or monthly for a month) will end on the final day of that subscription period.
If cancellation occurs during a billing cycle, the user can continue to use Hemlane until the subscription period ends or can archive all properties within their Hemlane account. If a user archives all properties, the remaining paid subscription amount will credit back to their Hemlane account and remain for future use.
