Hemlane makes it easy for tenants to pay rent online. The system sends email reminders close to the due date, and your dashboard provides notifications for upcoming and late payments to help keep everything on track.
Tenants can pay online using two methods:
- ACH (bank-to-bank) transfer (preferred method)
- Credit or debit card, if allowed by the property manager
ACH Transfers
ACH transfers are free of charge and typically take 2 to 3 business days for verified accounts. For first-time payments or accounts that are not fully verified, transfers generally take 5 business days and may take up to 10 business days for risk review.
Credit and Debit Card Payments
Credit and debit card transactions carry an additional fee of 3% of the total charge. This fee can be assigned to either the tenant or the property manager depending on the property manager's settings.
