Flex is a third-party service that pays your rent on your behalf. If you use Flex, you will need to add your Flex bank account to Hemlane and make sure rent payments are sent from that account.
Step 1: Find Your Flex Account and Routing Number
Before adding your account in Hemlane, you will need your Flex account and routing number. You can find these details directly in the Flex app. For help locating them, visit Flex's guide on viewing account details.
Step 2: Add Your Flex Bank Account in Hemlane
Once you have your account details, add your Flex bank account in Hemlane the same way you would add any other bank account. You can do this from your payment settings using either your account and routing number or through Plaid.
Please note: If you connecting your account through Plaid, make sure to search for Flex and not Lead Bank. Lead Bank is the underlying bank that Flex uses, but searching for it will not pull up your Flex account correctly.
Step 3: Pay Rent From Your Flex Account
Once your Flex account is added, you are all set to start making payments in Hemlane!
