As a Hemlane-registered tenant, you’ll receive email notifications when it’s time to pay rent. You’ll also receive automated reminders as the due date approaches to help you stay on track.
Your Dashboard and Payments tab (found on the left-hand menu) will show any upcoming or overdue charges for your lease—making the process simple and transparent.
💡 Paying Rent Without a Bank Account?
No bank account? No problem. Tenants can pay with cash using a cash card that you can pick up at various different local stores. Learn how to pay rent with cash »

Trouble Seeing Payments?
If you aren’t receiving emails to pay our rent and your Payments tab shows no transactions, it means your manager or landlord hasn’t enabled online payments yet.

Step-by-Step: Paying Rent Online
Step 1: Add a Bank Account or Credit Card
Before making a payment, you'll need to link a bank account or credit card (if allowed by your manager).

Step 2: Review and Make a Payment
Go to the Payments tab to see any outstanding charges. If the amount due is more than $0, then your lease group (you and any roommates) has a balance to pay.
To make a payment:
Click "View" next to the payment transaction
Click [Make Payment] in the upper right corner
Select your funding account and confirm the payment amount
Click [Confirm] to process the payment
Your funding account will default to the checking account on file. If you would like to use a different bank account, select the preferred option and click [Confirm].
Please Note: You can also schedule automatic payments if applicable ahead of time
Alternatively, you can choose to make your payment using Cash App (if allowed by your property manager) when selecting your payment method:
Please Note: Cash App payments will include an additional 3% processing fee similar to the use of Credit/Debit cards.
You will then be prompted with a QR code to access Cash App and complete the deposit. If you are using a mobile device, you will be redirected directly to Cash App to finish the process:
You will have a period of time (10-60 minutes) to complete the Cash App process, or return to it under your Payments tab:
If the Cash App process is not completed within the allotted time, the request will expire. You may then initiate the payment again using a bank account, credit or debit card, or Cash App if available.
