Hemlane allows you to invite applicants and tenants to join Hemlane for free. Owners and property managers can update the tenant's contact information until the tenant registers. Once registered, the tenant must update this information within their own account.
As tenants use their email address to log in to Hemlane, any changes to their login and account need to be made by them so they are aware of the change to their account and its access.
How to update contact information if the tenant has not registered with Hemlane:
Step 1: Click into the tenant or prospective tenant's profile (either under Tenants & Leases tab or Prospective Tenants tab) by clicking their name
Step 2: Under 'Contact Info', confirm the tenant is not registered
A registered account will have a green check-mark notating registration is completed
Step 3: Click into the 3 vertical dots to open a drop-down menu to allow you to edit
Step 4: Update the unregistered tenant's email address
How to update contact information if the tenant has registered with Hemlane:
If the tenant has already registered with Hemlane (denoted with a green check-mark under their profile) the tenant will need to update their email address within their own Hemlane account.
A tenant can update their email and settings by logging on and:
Step 1: Click into Settings tab on the left side main menu
Step 2: The tenant can update their email and contact information under the 'Basic' tab or update their password under 'Password'. Don't forget to save!
