Hemlane supports e-signing for any document, not just lease agreements or lease renewals. Whether you need a tenant to sign an addendum, a notice, or any other document, you can send it directly for e-signature through an active tenant group in just a few quick steps.
To get started, navigate to the Tenants and Leases tab, locate the relevant tenant group, and click into their name.
Step 1: Click More Actions under the tenant group's overview and select "eSign a Document."
Step 2: Select your document for upload and click Continue.
Step 3: Apply any signature fields, review, and send.
If there are multiple signees, flip between each one to add the relevant signature, text, or date fields in the appropriate sections of the document. When you are happy with the placements, click "Review and Send."
When you are pleased with said placements, or otherwise, please then click "Review & Send":
What happens next?
The tenant will receive a notification regarding their e-signature requirements and will find their signing request in their Hemlane dashboard.
As the property manager or owner, the document will appear as "Awaiting Signatures" within the tenant group's Leases and Documents section until all tenant signatures are completed.
Once all tenant signatures are collected, you will be notified and can complete your own signing. The document will return to the Leases and Documents section with a "Ready to Sign" status, where you can use the "View and Sign" button to finalize.
