During a lease term, there are times when payment terms may need to be adjusted. Hemlane allows you to update credit and debit card options on both individual and recurring payment requests.
How to Allow Credit Cards on a Single Transaction (One-Time Adjustment)
Step 1: Click into the Financials tab.
Step 2: Locate the payment you would like to edit and click View.
Step 3: Select Edit.
Step 4: Under Payment options, switch the setting to allow bank account, credit and debit card, or Cash App, then save your changes.
Please note that this change will only apply to the single transaction. Future recurring requests will not automatically allow credit or debit cards unless the recurring request is also updated.
How to Allow Credit Cards on a Recurring Payment Request (Affects Future and Current Incomplete Transactions)
Step 1: Click into the Financials tab and select Recurring from along the top.
Step 2: Click View to the right of the recurring request you would like to update.
Step 3: Select Edit.
Step 4: Under Payment options, switch the setting to allow bank account, credit and debit card, or Cash App, then save your changes.
Once saved, this change will apply to all current incomplete and future transactions associated with that recurring request.
