How Do I Update My Payment Credentials?

Hemlane and our partner companies are committed to keeping your privacy and payment processing as secure as possible. Our payment processor may occasionally request additional information about you or your company in order to enable or continue processing payments.

If more information is needed, an alert banner will appear on your Dashboard tab and you will also receive an email notification.

To update your account, click the "Update Account" option in the alert banner, which will redirect you to your banking credentials page. Review all information on file and make any necessary updates. Any fields required by our payment processor will be highlighted in red.

Once your updated information has been submitted, the alert will be removed from your Hemlane account and your information will be reviewed by our payment processor within 72 hours. If verification is unsuccessful, the alert banner will reappear.

What Do I Do If My Account Failed Verification?

The most common reason for a failed verification is a mismatch between the information entered in Hemlane and what is on file with the IRS. It is important that your name or company name matches exactly as it appears on your official IRS-issued documentation, such as your SS-4 confirmation letter or Letter 147C. This includes upper and lower case letters, symbols, and punctuation.

A common example of this is LLCs, which often include both the owner's name and the business name on IRS documentation. When in doubt, enter all information listed above the business address on your IRS documents.
