Hemlane works with all banks across the United States to provide a convenient and seamless way to collect rent, security deposits, and other payments. You are also able to refund tenants and send money to other users (Your Team) on Hemlane.

To add a new bank account:
Step 1: Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner
Step 2: Click [Banks & Cards]
Step 3: Click [+Account]
Please note:
- Savings accounts are not supported within Hemlane.
- You can only have a maximum of 10 unverified bank accounts allowed at any given time. Once your bank accounts are verified, you can then begin to add in the rest of your checking accounts.
To verify a new bank account online (instant verification):
Our online verification option uses Plaid to connect to your online banking in order to instantly verify your bank account.
Step 1: When adding in a new bank account, select the Secure online verification method and click [Next]
Step 2: Add in your bank account Nickname and click [Connect via Plaid]
Step 3: Select your bank and enter in your banking credentials
Step 4: You will then need to verify your account via text or email
Step 5: Once your verification step is complete, please select the checking account you would like to connect to Hemlane and click [Next] to add in your account
To verify a new bank account manually (1-2 day verification):
If you have chosen to manually verify your bank account, please allow 1-2 business days for 2 micro-deposits to arrive within your account. A micro-deposit is a monetary deposit less than $1.00 that is deposited into your bank account to be used for verification.
Step 1: When adding in a new bank account, select the Manual verification method and click [Next]
Step 2: Enter in your banking details and click [Next] to add in your account
Step 3: Wait 1-2 business days for 2 micro-deposits to arrive within your account. Once your micro-deposits have arrived, you can log into your Hemlane portal and finish verifying your account. Please visit our article micro deposits, How do I verify my bank account (micro deposits)?
Business Account vs. Personal Account
Hemlane allows you to add in both personal and business bank accounts (or a combination of both) to help organize your payment needs. When adding a new account you may need to update your company information to add in your role types and credentials. To update your information, please click the banner along the top of your dashboard or follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner
Step 2: Click [Banks & Cards]
Step 3: Select the link: "To update your account information, click here."
Keep in mind that, for security purposes, you are unable to transfer money in between your own accounts.
