Hemlane allows you to now effortlessly exchange and electronically sign leases with your new tenants. For step-by-step guidance on how to best send and sign new leases, please see the steps below:
Step 1: Please kindly navigate to the "Approved Applicants" portion of your Prospective Tenants tab and click into your applicant group name
Step 2: Utilize the [Send A Lease] function under the "To do" list
Step 3: Choose the "I need to sign a lease" option

Hemlane covers the cost of a subscription for you and you gain access to their online lease agreements, legal advice. and additional benefits.
Step 4: Choose your fitting lease document for the signing and upload the file to use
Step 5: Navigate through however many pages of your uploaded document there are and apply the fitting fields such as "Signature Field", "Date Field", or "Text Field" that any page will need
Step 6: Look to flip through the "Signees" for fitting field selections. When complete, look to "Review & Send" your lease to the applicant(s)
Common Questions:
Can I use this feature for lease renewals?
The E-Sign feature cannot be used for lease renewals at this time and will only be available under the "Approved Applicants" section of the Prospective Tenants tab. As such, the E-Sign feature will not be applicable to already active tenant or renewal needs.
Does the E-Sign feature cost extra?
No, the E-sign feature of the Prospective Tenants tab is accessible across all paid packages, including free trials. However, it is not available under Hemlane's free plan.
Where can I access the E-Sign features?
The E-Sign feature is only available for "Approved Applicants". Lease extensions, amendments, and all other needs cannot use the E-Sign feature yet, but enhancements for such will be improved upon in the near future.
