The first step to approving qualified tenants in Hemlane is pre-qualifying prospective applicants. When tenants interact with your listing, they are presented with pre-qualification questions during the Prospective Tenants and Inquiries stage.
Default Pre-Qualification Questions
- Is your credit score over 620?
- Is your monthly income at least three times the rental amount?
- Do you have pets?
How Can I Change These Pre-Qualification Requirements?
Step 1: Select the Marketing tab on the left-hand main menu and click Edit on your listing.
Step 2: Select the Terms tab from the listing’s quick links menu.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Minimum Requirements section, make your edits, and click Save and Next.
Please note that the question “Do you have pets?” will always be automatically included.
How Do I Request Pre-Qualification Answers From a Prospective Tenant?
Prospective tenants are automatically asked the pre-qualification questions when they either click the Ask a Question button or schedule a showing directly on your Hemlane listing.
If a prospective tenant has not done either of these yet, you will see a dash under Credit Score, Income Ratio, and Has Pets within the Prospective Tenants tab.
