Hemlane allows you to invite applicants and tenants to join for free. Owners and property managers can update a tenant’s contact information until the tenant registers. Once registered, the tenant must update this information within their own account. Because tenants use their email address to log in, any changes to their login and account need to be made by them so they are aware of the change and its effect on their access.
How to Update Contact Information if the Tenant Has Not Registered
Step 1: Click into the tenant or prospective tenant’s profile by clicking their name, either under the Tenants and Leases tab or the Prospective Tenants tab.
Step 2: Under Tenant Info, confirm the tenant is not registered.
Tip: A registered applicant or tenant will indicate their registration is complete.
Step 3: Click the three vertical dots to open a dropdown menu with the edit option.
Step 4: Update the unregistered tenant’s email address.
