We’re excited to introduce our new Message Notification System. This update is designed to improve visibility into important communication by mirroring your email notifications directly within your Hemlane dashboard.
The Message Notification System displays in-app alerts that mirror email notifications, helping users easily track communication. It appears as a bell icon to the left of your account name in the upper right corner of your dashboard:
Please note: These notifications are contingent upon your allowed email notifications via your account settings. Specific notifications will only populate in this feature so long as they have been allowed as a chosen notification to receive via email as well
Clicking on a message here will direct you to the relevant page to view and respond, such as the messaging area within a tenant's group under the Tenants & Leases Tab, or to an Inquiry's message under the Prospective Tenants tab.
Each message will clearly labelled to the right of the sender's name for quick identification, such as Tenant, Inquiry, Applicant, Service Pro, Tenant Placement (when Hemlane's Leasing team is involved), Eviction Shield (when Hemlane's Eviction teams are involved), or Repair Coordination (when Hemlane's Repair team is involved).
Tenants will likewise see relevant messages labelled like this, such as Management Team, Rent Mediator (when the Hemlane's Eviction team is involved), Repair Coordination (when Hemlane's Repair team is involved), or Tenant (when a co-tenant/applicant sends a message).
